The Honey House
A private little retreat on our working apiary. The Honey House is a modern one-bedroom barndominium tucked away in a quiet Harrisburg neighborhood — the whole place to yourself, with the bees just outside. Come for a peaceful overnight, and if you'd like, suit up for a hands-on beekeeping experience with us while you're here.
A modern barndominium, entirely yours
The Honey House is a private, modern barndominium — one bedroom and one private bath, sleeping up to four thanks to a futon that folds down into a comfortable bed. The entire home is reserved just for your group. It sits in a tucked-away neighborhood just outside the bustle of Harrisburg, on the same property as our apiary and honey stand. Quiet, comfortable, and a little bit different from your usual stay: you fall asleep a stone's throw from the hives.
It's rated five stars by guests. For current rates, availability, the full amenity list, and to reserve your dates, head to the Airbnb listing.

Suit up and meet the bees
While you're staying with us — or as a visit on its own — you can get suited up and learn about honeybees up close. You'll have the chance to go through multiple hives alongside an experienced beekeeper, seeing the queen, the brood, and the honey the way beekeepers do.
You can be as hands-on as you like, based entirely on your comfort level. Want to just watch from inside the veil? Great. Want to lift a frame of bees yourself? Even better. It's your experience — we meet you where you are.
To set up a session, call or text 717-379-3248 or send us a message — we'll find a time that works and go over what to expect.
More than a place to sleep
- Private & quiet. The entire barndominium is yours — no shared space, no traffic, just a calm corner of Harrisburg.
- On a real working apiary. Wake up to bees doing their thing. Walk over to the self-serve honey stand and take some raw local honey home with you.
- A genuine experience, optional. Add the hands-on beekeeping session and leave knowing something most people never get to see up close.
- Central PA base camp. Close to Harrisburg, Hershey, and the rest of the region — an easy, peaceful home base for a weekend.
The Honey House FAQ
How do I book?
Overnight stays are booked through Airbnb — use the Honey House listing, where rates and availability are always current. For the beekeeping experience, get in touch with us directly right now: call or text 717-379-3248 or send us a message. We'll get you scheduled.
Do I have to do the beekeeping experience if I stay?
Not at all. The Honey House is a great quiet stay on its own. The beekeeping experience is an optional add-on for guests who want it — and it can also be booked as a standalone visit without an overnight stay.
Is it safe to be around the bees?
Yes. You'll be in a proper bee suit and veil, guided the whole time by an experienced beekeeper, and you control how close you get. If you have a known bee-sting allergy, let us know before booking and we'll talk through it.
How many people can stay?
The Honey House sleeps up to four. It's a one-bedroom, one-bath home, and the living area has a futon that folds down into a comfortable second bed — great for a couple, a small family, or two couples. See the Airbnb listing for full house details.
Can I buy honey while I'm there?
Absolutely. Our self-serve honey stand is right on the property, open dawn to dusk — raw local honey, comb, and beeswax products on the honor system.
