Bees for apitherapy
We supply live honey bees for people practicing apitherapy (bee venom therapy) in the Harrisburg and Central PA area. One thing up front, in plain terms: we are beekeepers, not medical providers. We sell the bees — we do not perform stings, run treatments, diagnose anything, or give medical advice. Live honey bees — the bees only
- Live worker honey bees from our own hives in Harrisburg, PA.
- Small quantities, arranged for personal use.
- Local pickup by appointment — we prepare the bees so they travel alive for the short trip home, and we'll explain how to keep them alive for a day or two.
- Seasonal availability — bees are most readily available spring through fall. In winter the colony is clustered and we have very limited ability to supply.
That's the whole offering: healthy live bees, from a working local apiary, for you to use as you and your medical provider see fit. What you do with them is your decision and your responsibility.

We want to be completely clear, because it matters for your safety:
- We do not administer bee stings or run apitherapy sessions.
- We do not diagnose conditions, recommend apitherapy for anything, or claim it treats, cures, or helps any illness.
- We do not provide medical advice, dosing, technique, or instructions.
Any decision to use bee venom therapy is strictly between you and a qualified, licensed medical professional. We simply keep bees and can supply them.
Before you consider apitherapy
Bee venom is not gentle, and a sting is not a low-risk event. We'd be doing you a disservice not to say this plainly:
- Stings can cause severe allergic reactions — including anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening — even in people who have been stung before with no problem.
- Talk to a licensed medical provider first. Allergy testing beforehand is worth discussing with your doctor.
- Never do it alone. Have another person present, keep emergency epinephrine (such as an EpiPen) on hand, and know the signs of a reaction and when to call 911.
- A known bee-sting allergy makes this dangerous. If you or the person involved has ever had a serious sting reaction, do not proceed without a doctor's direct supervision.
None of this is medical advice — it's the basic caution any beekeeper would give a neighbor. Your doctor is the right person to weigh whether apitherapy makes sense for you.

- We'll confirm current availability and set up a pickup at our apiary in Harrisburg, PA. Availability depends on the season and the colonies.
- Pick up your bees. We'll hand them off alive and ready to travel, with a quick word on keeping them alive short-term.
We supply the bees only — not equipment, technique, or medical guidance. If a caller has a known sting allergy, we'll ask that a doctor be involved before we sell.

We prepare a small container so the bees stay alive and calm for the short trip home, and we'll tell you how to hold them for a day or two. Bees are living animals, so the sooner they're used or released, the better.
Can anyone buy bees for this?
We ask that buyers understand the real risks and have talked with a medical provider. If you or the person involved has a known bee-sting allergy, we won't sell for that use without a doctor's supervision. This isn't red tape — a serious sting reaction is an emergency, and we'd rather you be safe.
